MOR-Bible,
which is by God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, God's grace,
unmerited divine favor, be to you and peace, an absolute end of
all strife and trouble from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus
Christ, to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Father, we pray, that our
love may abound yet more and more in the knowledge of you and our
Lord Jesus Christ and in all judgment. We pray that we may approve
things that are excellent and that we may be sincere and without
offence until the day of Christ. May we be rooted and grounded in
love. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
This
month's teaching is on living super abundantly in God's Love. This
holiday season I pray to put you in remembrance of God's love for
us.
It
is written in John 3:16:
For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
The
phrase For God so loved the world teaches us the world did not love
God! We can even say that today the world still does not love the
true God and His son the Lord Jesus Christ. However, for those of
us who believe in His son Jesus Christ, we shall not perish, but
in contrast have everlasting life!
It
is written in 1 Corinthians 13:13:
And
now abideth [remains] faith [believing], hope, charity
[love], these three; but the greatest of these is charity
[love]. See February 2018
teaching.
In
this verse, but the greatest of these is what? Charity
or love. The word "love" is the Greek word agape
and is defined as "the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation."
See the teachings on agape love in February
and March 2018.
Note:
The sources for all Greek English words are Strong's Exhaustive
Concordance of the Bible, The Critical Lexicon and Concordance
to the English and Greek New Testament (Bullinger), Young's
Analytical Concordance to the Bible, The Word Study Concordance
by George V. Wigram and Ralph D. Winter, The
Bible Hub, and Webster's Desk Dictionary of the English
Language.
No
power can conquer or defeat God's love! Love is action and requires
you to act. The love of God inspires people to be their best. Love
is to do. Love is to act. See more in the September
and October 2018 teachings.
It
is written in 1 Peter 4:8:
And
above all things have fervent charity [love] among yourselves:
for charity [love] shall cover the multitude of sins.
The
word fervent means "extended, stretched out" and
describes an action of being earnest, fervent, or constant in action
or attitude. It is often used to describe a quality of intense and
sustained effort or emotion, particularly in the context of love,
or other spiritual disciplines. The term suggests a stretching or
reaching out with purpose and dedication.
The
phrase shall cover in this verse means "To cover, to hide,
to veil, to conceal, hidden." The Greek verb primarily means
"to cover or conceal something." It is used in the New
Testament to describe both physical covering and metaphorical hiding
or veiling. This can refer to covering an object, concealing information,
or hiding one's actions or intentions.
With
this understanding, let's review 1 Peter 4:8 again. It tells us
And above all things have an intense and sustained effort,
stretching or reaching out with purpose and dedication in love,
for the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation shall
conceal the multitude of sins. Wow!
1 John
4:16-18:
And
we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is
love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in
him.
God
is what? love! And he that dwelleth in what? Love,
dwell in who? God! Using logic, then if you do not dwell
in love, then you are not in God, and God is not in you! However,
being born-again of God's Spirit (see Romans 10:9), you have the
love of God!
Romans
5:5 give us more on this:
And
hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost [holy spirit] which is
given unto us.
Back
to 1 John 4, continue with verse 17:
Herein
is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day
of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
The
phrase as he [Jesus Christ] is, so are we in this world is
a tremendous truth that most Christians do not know. They do not
realize that once they are born-again, they are as Jesus Christ
was in this world. My heart's desire is to be able to understand
the depth of this truth in God's Word and manifest it in my life.
Let's
continue with verse 18:
There
is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because
fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Everyone
is motivated by either love or fear! The word fear in this
verse means "terror; panic." The word love is the
love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. The word perfect
means "mature." There is no power that can dominate love
or limit it! Because love never fails (see 1 Corinthians 13:8).
What did 1 Corinthians 13:13 teach us?
Faith
[believing], hope, charity [love], these three;
but the greatest of these is charity [love].
The
greatest of these is what? The love of God in the renewed
mind in manifestation! We must love the way God's Word commands
us to love if we want to dwell in the love of God. If we want to
be successful in this life, we must be strong in the love of God
in the renewed mind in manifestation!
2 Peter
1:1 tells us:
Simon
Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that
have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness
of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
The
word servant in this verse means "mark slave."
The word apostle translates as the "sent one."
When the word Jesus comes before Christ, the emphasis
is on his earthly ministry as a man, his humbleness, and his humility.
Christ refers to the anointed one, the Messiah. See the teachings
on this in January - July 2024.
Let's
continue to unpack the meanings of the words in this verse to better
understand. The word obtained means to receive. And the word
faith means believing. The word righteousness is "the
God-given justification whereby a person stands in the presence
of God without any consciousness of sin, guilt, or shortcomings."
What a tremendous truth people! God imparted righteousness to me
when I confessed the Lord Jesus and believed in my heart that God
raised him from the dead (see Romans 10:9). I received righteousness
in Christ Jesus (see 1 Corinthians 1:30) of God, the one supreme
who is the fountain of life and light!
It
is written in Romans 8:33:
Who
shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect [the born-again
believers]? It is God that justifieth.
God
justified us, the born-again believers! No one can unjustified us
but God! And He will not do that because we have received everlasting
life when we were born-again of His spirit!
Back
to 2 Peter 1:2:
Grace
and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God,
and of Jesus our Lord.
God's
grace, unmerited divine favor, be to you and peace, an absolute
end of all strife and trouble, be multiplied unto you through
the exact knowledge of God, the one supreme, who is the fountain
of life and light, and of Jesus, the humble one that was
obedient unto the death of the cross our Lord and master. Where
can we find this exact knowledge of God and of Jesus our
Lord? There is only one place - in the Word of God!
Continuing
with 2 Peter 1:3:
According
as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath
called us to glory and virtue.
Let's
expound this verse for an increased understanding. According
as God's, the creator and the one supreme who is the fountain
of life and light, divine power or might and strength has
(past tense - hath) given unto us all things that pertain unto
what? Life and godliness, our real, true, vital, and spiritual
relationship with God. Given the knowledge that God has (past tense)
given us these things, do we have to pray for or believe for
all things that pertain unto life and godliness? No! As born-again
believers, we thank God our Father, and we take it. The key is the
way in which life and godliness are given to us. It
is through the knowledge of him or God, the creator and the
one supreme fountain of life and light. This is why we do these
teachings - to increase your knowledge of God and His Word. God
has (past tense) called us to what? Glory and virtue
or the power which is God in Christ in you the hope of glory.
Double Wow!
2 Peter
1:4:
Whereby
are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped
the corruption [to destroy; decaying] that is in the world
through lust.
The
word partakers means "that which is common to all."
The phrase divine nature is God in Christ in you (see 2 Corinthians
5:19 and Colossians 1:27). When we were born-again of God's spirit,
we received a new divine nature (see Romans 10:9). When we were
born into this world, we were by nature the children of wrath (see
Ephesians 2:3) but we have a different nature now! Our old nature
was the natural man of body and soul only. Our new nature is divine,
and it is God in Christ in you the hope of glory! Because of our
new divine nature, God in Christ in you, we have escaped the decaying
that is in the world through lust. When are we going to believe
God's Word people? Everywhere you go, God in Christ goes with you!
Let's
continue with 2 Peter 1:5:
And
beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue and
to virtue knowledge.
The
word diligence is "care." The word faith
is "believing." The word virtue is power, which
is God in Christ in you the hope of glory. The word knowledge
is "by experience." So, going back to the verse, giving
all care, add to your believing power, which is God in
Christ in you the hope of glory, and to power, which is God in Christ
in you the hope of glory, knowledge by experience. We must
let this mind be in us, which was also in Christ Jesus (see Philippians
2:5). Put you on the Lord Jesus Christ in your mind (see Romans
13:14)!
Let's
look at the next verse in 2 Peter 1:6:
And
to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience
godliness.
The
word knowledge means "by experience." The word
temperance means "strong, master of, self-controlled."
The word patience means "enduring, holding out."
The word godliness means "real, true, vital, and spiritual
relationship with God." Now, we can go back to the verse with
this understanding - And by experience and with strong, master
of, self-controlled, enduring; and holding on to our real,
true, vital, and spiritual relationship with God!
Continuing
with verse 7:
And
to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
Again,
the word godliness means "real, true, vital, and spiritual
relationship with God." The phrase brotherly kindness means
"the love of brothers, brotherly love." The word charity
is "love" and is defined as "the love of God in the
renewed mind in manifestation." Once again, let's re-visit
the verse with this new understanding - And to our real,
true, vital, and spiritual relationship with God, brotherly love,
and to the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation.
Now,
let's look at verse 8:
For
if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall
neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
The
beginning of this verse, For if these things be in you refers
back to verses 5-7; they are in you because you have God in Christ
in you (see Romans 10:9). And they abound in you when you
renew your mind (see Romans 12:2) to do God's Word. The power of
God in us is potential power; it becomes kinetic or active when
we operate it. This verse tells us that once we operate the God
in Christ in us, we shall neither be barren, which means
"useless," nor unfruitful which means "yielding
no fruit" in the knowledge, which means "clear
and exact knowledge; a knowledge that has a powerful influence on
the knower; full knowledge" of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Wow! This understanding brings such dimension and action to God's
Word!
It
is written in Ephesians 1:4:
According
as he (God) hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in
love.
Let
me repeat this verse - God chose us in him before the overthrow
of the world so that we should (past tense) be holy and without
blame before him in love. By God's foreknowledge, He knew we
would believe once we heard His Word. He chose us!
Let's
continue with 2 Peter 1:9:
But
[in contrast to verse 8] he that lacketh these things is
blind, and cannot see afar off [or close], and hath forgotten
that he was purged from his old sins.
Numerous
times we have failed to recall what God did for us in Christ. We
have forgotten when we were born-again. We have forgotten that when
we spoke in tongues that it was our proof, in the senses' world,
that we were born-again of God's spirit (see Romans 10:9) with Christ
in us the hope of glory (see Colossians 1:27)! When we forget these
lessons, as presented in 2 Peter 1:9, we are blind, and cannot
see afar off, and hath (past tense) forgotten. We have
let the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the
lusts of life enter in, choking the Word of God out of our lives.
We have become unfruitful in our thinking and walk. It is a daily
remembrance that it is God in Christ in us! This is the divine
nature of 2 Peter 1:4 above. It is the truth of God's Word!
We must renew our minds and confess the truth of God's Word then
we can manifest the power of God!
Finally,
2 Peter 1:10:
Wherefore
the rather, brethren, give diligence [care] to make your
calling [of God in Christ Jesus, see Philippians 3:14] and
election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.
So,
looking at 2 Peter 1:5-10, if we do what is presented in verses
5-7, we shall never fall. People, it cannot be plainer! The
Word of God is the Will of God. The love of God, in the renewed
mind in manifestation, never fails. We keep our heart, soul, strength,
and mind in God's Word. We speak God's Word in love.
In
John 13:34, Jesus Christ gave a new commandment to us:
A
new commandment I [Jesus Christ] give unto you, that ye love one
another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Three
times the word love is used in this verse. The number three
stands for the solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire. The
number three "denotes divine perfection." We are told
to love one another as Jesus Christ loved us with divine perfection.
The
world desperately needs to see God's love in us! We shine as lights
in the world (see Philippians 2:15). We are the salt of the earth
(see Matthew 5:13). We are super conquerors (see Romans 8:37). Romans
5:5 tells us:
And
hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost [holy spirit] which is
given unto us.
The
world needs to see God in Christ in you the hope of glory! Others
need to see the light, the love, and the peace of God in Christ
in you! Not everyone reads the Bible or studies God's Word the way
you do. Let others see you living the Word of God with the love
of God in the renewed mind in manifestation in all your talk and
walk of life!
John
13:35 tells us that we love others as Jesus Christ love us (verse
34):
By
this shall all men know that ye are my [Jesus Christ's]
disciples [disciplined ones], if ye have love one to another.
Romans
13:10 expands this to say:
Love
worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling
of the law.
The
love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation works no ill to
a person's neighbor. We are told to lift our neighbors with the
love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. And we do this
through our talk and walk in God's Word.
It
is written in Romans 8:38-39:
For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to
come,
Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate
us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The
word persuaded in verse 38 means "beyond a shadow of
a doubt." Re-reading this verse brings new understanding as
we see beyond a shadow of a doubt, we believe nothing can separate
us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Now all we have to do is renew our minds and live super abundantly
in God's Love.
Ephesians
5:1-2 exhorts us to:
Be
you therefore followers of God, as dear children;
And
walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling
savior.
In
this month's teaching, we learned how to live super abundantly in
God's love by renewing our minds to manifest God's love in our mind,
heart, and soul. God is love! The love of God never fails! The love
of God is the greatest thing in this world! The love of God covers
a multitude of sins. There is no force in this world that can control
or dominate the love of God! Amen, amen, amen!
Father,
thank you for giving your love in that gift of holy spirit. Thank
you for your great care as we believe and put into action the power
of your gift of holy spirit. May we worship you in spirit and in
truth and in love. Father, thank you that through your son, our
Lord Jesus Christ, we are the lights in the world, we are the salt
of the earth, and we are super conquerors. Father, we are so grateful
and thankful that nothing can separate us from your love, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.
Have
a blessed Christmas. May God's love manifest in all you do and say
this month!
