And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the Ministry of Reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of Reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

MOR-Bible, which is by God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, may God's grace and unmerited divine favor be to you and peace, an absolute end of all strife or trouble, come to you from God, our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ to the faithful in Christ Jesus. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace, unmerited divine favor of God, the fountain of life and light, which is given to you by Jesus Christ, the humbled one now glorified. Father, I pray that we might be filled with the knowledge of your Will which is your Word in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of you. I pray that we walk before you in love, in truth, and with a perfect heart in your sight. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

In the April 2024 teaching, we searched the scriptures for some of the usages of the combination of the Greek words Iesous and Christos used together representing our English phrase Jesus Christ in the doctrine of Romans. Based on this teaching, we learned:

  • Paul was a servant [slave] of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:1).
  • God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ (Romans 2:16).
  • Even the righteousness of God which is by faith [believing] of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22).
  • Much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).
  • Even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord [master] (Romans 5:21).
  • But alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord [master] (Romans 6:11).
  • But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord [master] (Romans 6:23).
  • Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision [Israel] for the truth of God (Romans 15:8).
  • That I [Paul] should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God (Romans 15:16).
  • I [Paul] may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God (Romans 15:17).
  • And the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began (Romans 16:25).

In this month's teaching, we will search the scriptures for some of the usages of the combination of the Greek words Iesous and Christos used together for our English phrase Jesus Christ from the books of Corinthians and Galatians. We exhort you to read every usage and the context of how this phrase is used in these two books. In this teaching, we will bold the phrase Jesus Christ for emphasis.

The book of Corinthians was written to reprove practical errors for not adhering to the doctrine presented in the book of Romans. The book of Galatians also corrected doctrine errors for not adhering to the doctrine of Romans. Doctrinal errors manifest themselves in creeds, rules, and traditions. Over time, once a person practices error for a while, it becomes a doctrine or a way of doing things. Let us read what God's Word documented about the pure and perfect order of God's Word.

It is written in Psalms 12:6:

The words of the Lord are pure [no contamination] words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

The words of the Lord are what? Pure words. Purified how many times? Seven, which represents spiritual perfection.

Psalms 19:7:

The law [word] of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The word of the Lord is what? Perfect!

Psalms 138:2:

I [David] will worship toward thy holy temple and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In this verse, for thou hast magnified thy what? Word above all what? Thy name. If the Word of the Lord is pure and perfect, then the order of the Word of Lord must be perfect! And God has magnified His pure and perfect Word above all His name! When we read the words Jesus Christ in God's Word it must be in perfect order. And we must use the name Jesus Christ in the order and way it is used in God's Word. As a reminder from the April 2024 teaching, in the word combination of "Jesus Christ," the name Jesus preceded by Christ puts the emphasis on his earthly life and walk. The name Christ means anointed. The phrase or name combination of Jesus Christ means Jesus the humbled one who is now exalted, and whose name is above every name.

Let us read some of the usages of the combination of Jesus Christ documented in Corinthians which reproofed practical errors for not adhering to the doctrine presented in Romans.

1 Corinthians 1:2:

Unto the church of God, which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's.

To them that are what? Sanctified in who? Christ Jesus. And they are called to be what? Saints or those born-again of God's Spirit who is the holy one, those set apart, purified one. The verse continues stating with all that in every place call upon the name of who? Jesus [the humble one] Christ [the anointed one] our Lord [master]. This verse did not say that in every place call upon the name of Jesus, but it said Jesus Christ our Lord! What an opening verse!

1 Corinthians 1:4:

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ.

We thank who? God always on your behalf, for the grace [unmerited divine favor] of God, the fountain of life and light, which is given you by who? Jesus Christ. Once again, it is not Jesus in which Paul was thanking God, but rather Jesus Christ. Does your thanks to God line up with God's Word? It does if you are thanking God in the name of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:19:

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

For the son of who? God, Jesus Christ, who was what? Preached or heralded, proclaimed among you by who? Paul, Silas, and Timothy. Paul, Silas, and Timothy did not preach Jesus, nor did they preach that he was God. This verse states they preached who? The son of God, Jesus Christ according to God's Word!

2 Corinthians 4:6:

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

For God, the fountain of life and light, commanded the light to shine out of what? Darkness, hath [this verb is past tense] shined in our hearts, to give what? Light of the knowledge, the understanding, of the glory [praise and honor] of who? God in the face of who? Jesus Christ. John 5:30 tells us that Jesus Christ always did the will of his Father. Jesus said in John 14:9: He that hath seen me hath seen who? the Father. Jesus's prayer in John 17: 11 and 22 stated that they [his disciples] may be one, as we [him and his Father] are.

2 Corinthians 5:18:

And all things are of God, who hath [this verb is present tense] reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath [this verb is past tense] given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

And all things are of who? God, the fountain of life and light, who hath [this verb changed to present tense] done what? Reconciled [brought back together] us to himself by who? Jesus Christ. And what hath God given to us by Jesus Christ? The ministry of reconciliation. God has given every born-again believer the ministry of reconciliation. See the January 2016 teaching on how we have the ministry of reconciliation.

Now let us read some of the usages of the combination of Jesus Christ documented in Galatians which corrected the doctrine errors for not adhering to the doctrine of Romans.

The first usage I want to focus on is in Galatians 1:12. We will read verses 6-11 for the context.

I [Paul] marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you and would pervert [turn away] the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

But I certify [make known to] you, brethren, that the gospel [good news of the Grace Administration] which was preached of me is not after man.

For I [Paul] neither received it [the Gospel] of man, neither was I taught it [the Gospel], but [in contrast] by the revelation [unveiling, uncovering of facts and truths] of [by] Jesus Christ.

How did Paul receive the Gospel? By the revelation of Jesus Christ! Paul was correcting doctrine errors where the Galatian believers had turned away from the Gospel of Christ to another gospel (see verse 6).

Galatians 2:16:

Knowing that a man is not justified [declare righteous] by the works of the law, but by the faith [believing] of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified [declared righteous] by the faith [believing] of Christ [the anointed one], and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified [declared righteous].

Knowing that a man is not what? Justified [declared righteous] by the works of the law, but [in contrast] by the faith [believing] of who? Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be what? Justified or declared righteous by the believing of who? Christ or the anointed one, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be what? Justified or declared righteous. Here again, the Galatian believers were practicing the works of the law to show they were righteous and had made it a doctrine or a way of life or tradition.

Galatians 3:1-2 tells us:

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched [prate, to mislead by pretense as if by magic arts, to fascinate] you, that ye should not obey [to persuade, to have confidence] the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently [clearly] set forth, crucified among you?

This only would I learn of you, received [into manifestation] ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith [believing]?

If I ask you the same question, how will you answer? The answer, as presented in Galatians 3:2, is by believing! We could not receive into manifestation the Spirit by the works of the law. It is only through our believing! See February 2017 teaching.

As a reminder, turn to Romans 10:9-10:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart [the inner most part of your being] man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:17 goes on to say:

So then faith [believing] cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 clarifies:

For by grace [God's unmerited favor] are ye saved [made whole] through faith [believing]; and that not of [out from] yourselves: it is the gift of [from] God:

Not [absolute not] of works, lest [in order that] any man should boast.

Let's continue from Galatians 3: 1-2 above with Galatians 3:3-5:

Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Have ye suffered so many things in vain [without cause or reason]? if it be yet in vain [without cause or reason].

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles [people born-again of God's Spirit] among you, doeth he [or she] it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith [believing]?

Hopefully, you will answer an emphatic NO if verse 3 or 4 is posed to you! The answer to verse 5 is that we minister the spirit and work miracles by the hearing of believing!

1 Peter 4:10-11 tells us:

As every man hath received the gift [holy spirit], even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom (God) be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Let's continue with Galatians 3:14:

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive [into manifestation] the promise of the Spirit [the gift of holy spirt] through faith [believing].

How are we going to receive the promise of the Spirit? Through faith [believing]. Remember, faith was not available until Pentecost (see March 2017 teaching). In the Bible after Pentecost, you will never find Christian believers told to have faith. If they are born-again, they already have faith per the scripture in Romans 12:3:

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith [the faith of Jesus Christ].

It is written in Acts 2: 38-39:

Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost [holy spirit].

For the promise [the gift of holy spirit] is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Galatians 3:22:

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin [without exception], that the promise [the gift of holy spirit] by faith [believing] of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

The only way you can receive the promise of the gift of holy spirit is by the believing of who? Jesus Christ which is given to those that do what? Believe.

Galatians 5:6:

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith [believing] which worketh [is energized] by love [the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation].

For in who? Jesus Christ is believing which is energized by the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation. It is the pure, perfect, and magnified Word of God which is His Will! The Word of God is the Will of God! You cannot know the Will of God without knowing the Word of God! And it is in Jesus Christ, not Jesus, that believing is energized by the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation.

In this month's teaching, we searched the scriptures for some of the usages of the combination of the Greek words Iesous and Christos used together for our English phrase Jesus Christ from the books of Corinthians and Galatians. We learned that to be beloved children of God our Father, we must love His pure, perfect, and magnified Word. We saw that the reproof of practical and doctrinal error in Corinthians and Galatians was to practice His pure, perfect, and magnified Word exactly in our lives. If we want a life that is more than abundant, then we need to operate the power of God in our lives. Part of that operation is using the phrase Jesus Christ as God's Word declares.

Father, we are so grateful and thankful for your Word and Will that have corrected practical and doctrinal errors back to the true standard of right-believing of your pure, perfect, and magnified Word. Father, our hearts' desires are to be imitators of your pure, perfect Word like your only begotten son, Jesus Christ did. Our hope is to be children that walk in the love of God our Father in the renewed mind in manifestation. We pray we are well pleasing and acceptable in your sight. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Word of God is the Will of God. And the Will of God is the Word of God.

In the Lord,

Ministry of Reconciliation
Son of God through Jesus Christ
Ambassador for Christ
