And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the Ministry of Reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of Reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

MOR-Bible, which is in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Peace to you and grace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and us. Almighty God our Father, we are so thankful and grateful for you blessing us to see another year. We thank you for your son who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world according to your Will, Father. Thank you, Father, for another opportunity to hold forth your words of life. To you, Father, be glory for ever and ever. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

In the December 2022 teaching, we learned God's Word separates truth from error in our lives. God's Word is our life! We need God's Word more than our necessary food to live! We are to have one mind, one heart, one stand for the truth, and one Word to speak! Therefore, we are not to be conformed to this world. God's Word tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we can prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect Will of God (see Romans 12:2). In December's teaching, we searched, traced, and tracked two phrases in 2 Timothy 2:15; the phrase "needeth not to be ashamed" is one Greek word anepaischuntos which means "not ashamed of, having no cause for shame." The phrase "rightly dividing" is the one Greek word, orthotomounta, which means "to cut straight, to divide right." We reviewed all five usages of aischunomai that appear in the Bible. We learned that we, as born-again children of God, are not ashamed of our stewardship and our authority which the Lord has given us for edification, our hope in Christ, and our suffering as a Christian. We are not to be ashamed before Christ at his coming (see 1 John 2:28). Through this teaching, we learned that God's Word is quick, living, powerful and energetic. It must be cut straight (temno) and divided right (orthos - upright and straight)!

The theme verse for this year will be Romans 12:2:

And be not conformed [by the five senses information] to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [to God's reveal Word], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. [See October 2016 and November 2016 teaching.]

Romans is one of three doctrines of the seven church epistles; the other two are Ephesians and Thessalonians. The church epistles include Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Thessalonians. Romans document the standards for God's children to live by! It is the first doctrine epistle listed in the seven church epistles. It was not the first doctrine written, that was Thessalonians, but it is listed first in the church epistles. Thessalonians was the first revelation given to the Apostle Paul. The scriptures were given by inspiration of God to the Apostle Paul. It is the last chapter in the seven church Epistles in the Bible. Why? It is because the return of Christ is the last event of the Grace Administration. It sums up how the believers should walk in the Lord. It provides a thorough and meticulous understanding of the hope of Christ's return.

Remember 2 Timothy 3:16:

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. [bold added for emphasis]

I beseech you by asking that you, the born-again believers in the body of Christ walking in the Lord by the compassion and pity of God, stand nearby and set aside your bodies to living life in all its manifestations, from the life of God down to the lowest vegetable. As we walk in the Lord, we are a living sacrifice with the gift of holy spirit in us which is well pleasing to God as dear children!

In this month's teaching, we will search, trace, and track in God's Word, our English words "be not conformed" and "world" documented in Romans 12:2.

The sources for all Greek-English words are Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, The Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament (Bullinger), Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible, and The Word Study Concordance by George V. Wigram and Ralph D. Winter.

Romans 12:2:

And be not conformed [by the five senses information] to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [to God's reveal Word], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. [Bold added for emphasis.]

God's Word tell us be not conformed to this world. We live in a world where there are so many things going on that are opposed to God's Word! This is why God's Word declares, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). When we have no knowledge of God's Word we are destroyed! Or, when we have knowledge of God's Word and do not live it, we are destroyed!

In Ephesians 4:14, God's Word also says:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

In contrast, when we became children of God by confessing the Lord Jesus and believing in our hearts that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9), the children of God conform to His Word! God's Word is our standard to live by! We rejoice at God's Word! We thirst and hungry for God's rightly divided Word! This is because, to the children of God our Father, there is no life without our Father's Word!

2 Corinthians 10:3-5:

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds)

Casting down imaginations
[reasons], and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

There are eleven chapters written before Romans 12. The first 10 chapters documented the commandments of the Law and works verses faith or believing to receive salvation or wholeness. In Romans 10, it is documented how to be born-again of God's Sprit (Please note there are nine chapters written before chapter 10 which informs us how to be saved).

Romans 10:9-10:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Now that we are saved, we must renew our minds to what the first eleven chapters of Romans documented and study to show ourselves approved to God as a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Now let us search, trace, and track in God's Word the English words "be conformed" and "world" from Romans 12:2:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [to God's reveal Word], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. [Bold added for emphasis.]

Our English phrase"be not conformed" is the one Greek word suschematizo which means "to fashion one's self according to; to fashion in same way." It is from the Greek word sun meaning "with, together with." We will read usages for both Greek words to better understand God's Word. We see there are only two usages of the Greek word suschematizo in the New Testament. We will read these two usages documented in the New Testament.

Turn to Romans 12:1-2. We will read verse 1 for context.

I beseech [I lovingly beg] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable [religious] service.

And be not conformed
[suschematizo by the five senses information] to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [to God's reveal Word], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We as children of God are not to what? Be conformed or suschematizo. We are not to fashion ourselves to this world!

The second usage is documented in 1 Peter 1:14. The phrase fashioning yourselves according to is the one Greek word suschematizo. We will read
1
Peter 1:14-21 for a fuller understanding of this phrase.

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to [suschematizo] the former lusts in your ignorance:

But [in contrast] as he
[God] which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I
[God] am holy.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But
[in contrast] with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory; that your faith [believing] and hope might be in God.

Our desire is to fashion ourselves according to God's Word as our Lord and savior Jesus Christ did! We, as obedient children, do not follow our former lusts prior to becoming children of God. We are to be holy or like Christ in all manner of conversation and life. Our conduct and actions are to conform or fashion themselves to God's Word! Our believing and hope are in God our Father and His Word!

The Greek Word sun means "with." There are 123 usages as "with;" the word "beside" is represented one time. We will read a few of these usages as related to Romans 12:2.

Let's start with the first usage of sun or "with" in Matthew 25:27. Here, Jesus was teaching using a parable. The context for this parable is documented in verses 14-15.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

Please read all of the verses before Matthew 25:27 for full context. These verses told how the faithful servants used their talents and thereby gained more talents. Matthew 25:27 refers to the wicked and slothful servant, who did nothing with his talent.

Verse 27:

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with [sun] usury.

The next usage of sun or "with" we will explore is 2 Peter 1:18: We will read verses 15-17 for context.

Moreover, I will endeavour that ye may be able after my [Peter] decease to have these things always in remembrance.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but
[in contrast] were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

For he
[our Lord Jesus Christ] received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard when we were with
[sun] him [Jesus] in the holy mount [see Matthew 17:5].

Now we will read Romans 8:32 for the next usage of sun or "with." We will read verses 29-31 for context to enhance our understanding.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
[sun] him also freely give us all things?

Next, turn to Ephesian 3:18 for the next usage of sun or "with." We will read verses 15-17 for context.

Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith
[believing]; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with
[sun] all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 has the next usage of sun or "with."

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with [sun] them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with [sun] the Lord.

God our Father, with His son, has freely given us all things that we may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, length, depth, and height! When Christ returns to gather us, that are alive, we shall be caught up together with them who were dead which are now raised incorruptible in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord! Glory hallelujah!

The Greek word aion is used for our English word "world" in Romans 12:2. The Greek word aion refers to "age, indefinite time, dispensation; a space of time, an age." There are 128 usages of aion in the Bible. We will read two usages and the associated contexts.

Turn to Matthew 12:32. We will read verses 30-31 for context.

He that is not with me [Jesus] is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world
[aion or age], neither in the world to come. [See September 2021 teaching.]

Those people who blasphemy against the Holy Ghost in verse 31 above are people born of the seed of devil. They will not be forgiven in this world nor the world (aion) to come. Remember, seed cannot be changed (see September 2021 teaching)! The Lord God gives the light for the world!

The last usage of aion is documented in Revelation 22:5. We will read verses 1-4 for context.

And he [God] shewed me [John] a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever
[aion] and ever [aion].

Remember from the December 2019 teaching, Revelation is addressed to Israel, not to the body of Christ!

In this month's teaching, we searched, traced, and tracked in God's Word our English words "be not conformed" and "world" and the Greek words for them as documented in Romans 12:2. Our English phrase"be not conformed" is the one Greek word suschematizo which means "to fashion one's self according to; to fashion in same way." It is from the Greek word sun meaning "with, together with." The Greek word aion is used for our English word "world" in Romans 12:2. The Greek word aion refers to "age, indefinite time, dispensation; a space of time, an age."

Based on these translations and the associated scriptures, we learned we must renew our minds to fashion ourselves according to God's Word as our Lord and savior Jesus Christ did! We, as obedient children, do not conform to our former lusts before we became children of God. We renew our minds to live holy in all manner of conversation and life. Our conduct and actions are to conform to God's Word! We are to renew our minds to remember God our Father with His son has freely given us all things so that we may be able to comprehend what is the breadth, length, depth, and height! We must always keep in our minds the return of Christ when he gathers together the Church of the body and those that are alive will be caught up together with them who were dead to meet the Lord in the air, and so, shall we ever be with the Lord (see 1 Thessalonians 4:17)! Glory hallelujah!

Father, I thank you for your Word which tells us how to renew our minds so that we can fashion our lives in accordance with your Word. Father, thank you for giving us spiritual understanding of your Word so that we can prove what is your good, acceptable, and perfect Will. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
Bless your hearts! You are the best! We love you! Have a blessed New Year.

In the Lord,

Ministry of Reconciliation
Son of God through Jesus Christ
Ambassador for Christ
